The African International New Testament (AFINT) is a prayer-grounded, exegetically faithful translation of the Greek New Testament produced under African evangelical scholarship for the service of the global Church.
AFINT is translated directly from the Greek text with careful attention to grammar, syntax, discourse flow, and theological nuance. The goal is not stylistic novelty, but faithful communication of the inspired meaning of Scripture in clear, responsible English. The translation is built on the Acts 6:4 model, giving priority to prayer and the ministry of the Word.
AFINT is published in two complementary forms: the Literal Translation for close study, exegesis, and theological training, and the Interpretive Paraphrase for clarity and discipleship. Both are rooted in historic evangelical theology, affirming the authority, infallibility, and sufficiency of Scripture.
AFINT is not an Africanized Bible, but an African-led contribution to global biblical scholarship—produced with academic rigor, pastoral concern, and deep reverence for God's Word.
